What does a moderator do? Here are some examples:
1. Invites participants to give their views on a particular topic.
2. Asks people to re-word judgmental comments.
3. Manages over-talking.
4. States acceptance of a diversity of views.
5. Links comments from different people.
6. Stimulates discussion.
7. Provides periodic summaries of group discussion.
8. Validates passionately expressed views.
9. Maintains his/her own neutrality and does not take sides.
10. Finds a location for the cafe.
